PR - Weapons
Hi Fellas,
I just downloaded this mod and will be installing tonight when I get home from work. I was just wondering/hoping are the guns in this mod more accurate than regular BF2 game ?

Definitely
However 0.7 introduced large weapon deviation penalty for moving.
So physically moving will make you very inaccurate to the point of shooting only being useful in very close quarter battles. Adjusting your aim will make you more inaccurate than not
The weapons have a 1.3333... second settle time before having appropriate MOA accuracy - so aim, count to 3 and then shoot.
Sniper and DM rifles are bugged at the moment but the rifles work fine, though the G3 is a bit tempermental

Is it better if you crouch or go prone versus standing ? What about zoom is it more accurate ?

much better to atleast be crouching, preferably prone. and one thing to keep in mind is PR did away with the bf2 crosshairs, so you have to use the iron sight views to hit anything. however many of the guns have scopes, so those guns are very accurate if used correctly.
and make sure to read the PR manual before you start playing, it will help you immensely as there is a bit of a learning curve. dont be afraid to ask questions in the server there are plenty of people willing to help. and welcome to the mod i hope you like it.

I just shot a guy in the back from a good 300m or so with the Brit rifle w/SUSAT. Of course, he was running *away*, so there wasn't much traverse, but still. Got him on the second shot, and was rewarded with a nice rag-doll faceplant.Your_Mammie wrote:Hi Fellas,

I found the Brit rifle to be very good, accurate and you can fire off 5-6 really quick shots on single fire and hardly have to re-adjust your aimboltcatch wrote:I just shot a guy in the back from a good 300m or so with the Brit rifle w/SUSAT. so, i understand that is good that you can't shoot accurate right after you've been running. But is there this time delay after every shot?
Cause you can shoot accurate very fast (at least in closer range).
And for the why there ain't these type of guns? (mostly reply is cause in real military they are not using). For what I've seen the military don't just use one type of assault rifles, it dipend and determines by the class you are into.
The heavy-at's should have also an assaullt rifle, for real life they do have. Theres no point of having 9 mm for your security.

After each shot you have to move your crosshair so it will be less than perfect accuracy, so wait a second before your next shot, or fire a ton and freak out your target so he can't aim straight, either works.
HATs got no rifle so people don't just run off with it thinking "oh well if I happen to run into a tank I can pwn him", meanwhile they run into a bunch of infantry and waste the kit.

Yeah it takes a bit of trial and error to actually be able to hit something, I was aiming at a brit on al basrah with a stolen rifle and his buddy lies down beside him and I accidentally shot him insteadJuba wrote:Yea I was wondering wtf was going on with the L96 I stole last night. Was so hard hitting one of those brits that was just sitting there, then I popped the driver from a moving rover.
