Unsurprisingly, since the launch of 0.7 we've had a very steep increase in the number of players.

Some have read the manual, some haven't, and some downloaded the mod, saw that it wasn't a complete re-model with Starwars characters running through space stations, and decided to treat it like vBF2.

In-line with said players, we've seen an increase in posts crying out to these players to read the manual and play properly. It is useless.

Save yourselves the time and effort to typing out elaborate pleas, and stop clogging up the forums, unless your message has some form of workable suggestion. I'm not scaulding you people, I'm right beside you, but you need to realise that the people who ruining games do not care enough to read these forums. When you make these threads, the only people that read them is the people who are already aware.

im more the type of person who will actually try to help those people who clog up the chat in the servers with things like "how do i get a kit!" "how do i drive an apc!" etc etc because those people are obviously not patient enough to turn off the game and open the manual. and often times those people can end up being good players pretty fast so i dont think its a lost cause. but yeah just typing RTFM to them is obviously never going to work.

These are not the players I am refering to. I'm afraid you've mis-understood the purpose of this thread

I'm talking about the threads going on about newb pilots, telling them not to fly - Those players do not read these forums, so giving advice here unless specifically asked for, is uselss = /

I've got a pile of copy/paste phrases to use when I'm admin on our server and not actively playing.

My favourites are:

"If you are unsure of any aspect of the game, .:iGi:. Clan recommend you carefully read the excellent PR Player Guide"

When it comes to players wasting valuable assets I use:

"This is not a sandpit server: Do not waste helicopters, planes or armour. Use an empty or local server to practice your skillz"
