if there was a big war like the PR war wouldent N korea get involeved ? i was thinking makeing them a comunity faction ( should be easy ) i mean we got pretty much every thing for them ( ak47s t62/t72 bdrm grail ect ).
the only thing we would realy need is a map or two.
N. korea

Honestly i think if there was ever a real war on the scale of the BF2/PR war, North Korea would be knocked out early in the game. But their faction would be cool. The skin would just be like a brown suit thing and no tactical gear to speak of. You could probably get away with using the Chinese voices for at least a little while.
In the end it probably would just be a matter of the number of people you would have available to help you.

So it would be like going paintballing with an AK47....sweet.But their faction would be cool. The skin would just be like a brown suit thing and no tactical gear to speak of.
I tend to agree with Iron, wouldn't take long for them to get knocked out of it entirely.

this is something ive been wishing for for a while in PR, but i think if it was gonna happen it would have to be a community project. the good thing is in my opinion about 90 percent of the elements for a NK faction are already in the game. take for example, the PLA maps, i know most are set in china {and i think atleast one in NK} but really you could probly use all the PLA map stuff to make a NK map because really how different would it look? same for the PLA voices, yes they are speaking chinese but to most of us chinese and korean sound the same. so we could use the PLA voices atleast for a placeholder {i totally didnt mean to offend anyone of chinese-korean origin there} we already have T 62 tanks, and brdms, that would be very fitting for NK because most of there stuff is old russian hardware. the AKs , PKMs, and RPGs that the insurgents use would work well for NK small arms, we would mainly need NK soldier models, and probly an older APC like a BMP1 or BMP2. also it would be cool if the NK faction had a much shorter spawn time to better represent theyre advantage in numbers {i think its the second largest army in the world?} and to offset all of theyre obsolete vehicles.

i think it would require a little more than a re-skin, the pictures ive seen of NK infantry they look like they wear older soviet style uniforms with very basic helmets and no body armor. the PLA wear much more modern equipment including body armor vests, so i dont know if it would look right or not.

Thing is though... like the original conflict, China might be likely to back them up.ironcomatose wrote:Honestly i think if there was ever a real war on the scale of the BF2/PR war, North Korea would be knocked out early in the game. If N.Korea were to be added, I'd like to see S.Korea in too as their primary opponent, with the U.S and other potential countries as secondary opponents.
