Harrier questions(about GR9 and GR7)

Ok, so with the recent announcement of the Harrier GR9(is that a typo, i though the british had the GR7, is it an advanced version or just made up)i have some questions about it and the previous Harrier

*will it be in 0.8?
*We know the LGB and Mavericks will be SOFLAM/ commander guided, but will the Brimstones be pilot operated???
*Will it take 20 seconds to go vertical, or will it take longer(make it take longer)
*will there be a height restriction?(does it have to go so high to go horizontal or is like 40 feet fine)?
*What maps will it be on
-before a DEV said"there is no need for it right now" so why is it going to be on *map name here*([my question]only works for certain maps)

off topic questions: when will HAMAS enter, and what happened to Muttrah City v@?

Harrier GR7 v1(0.3 i think it was in 0.3, didnt play 0.3 but i think it was still in 0.3)
*what were its "weapons issues"?
*could they have been fixed rather then starving us of this beauitiful aircraft?
*did its LGBs work by tracking the target like the LGMs do(F-15,SU34,SU30) do in vanilla? or were they just dressed up DBs(dumb boms not dead bodies)

I didnt think a whole buncha devs would decend on this thread and answer all my questions, i just wanted to wait for some rumors and hear-say.......hey when you love the Harrier as much as I do and its comming back to the greatest mod ever........you get what info you can on its arrival.
also, for the old version, i wanted older players to answer my questions or maybe devs(now i hope old players are reading this)

I could understand the post, I just didn't see any need for it

the old Harrier GR7 model may have looked good in that SS but really wasn't that grate. the new version is a hevily modified version of that model to add a hell of alot more detail as well as the visible modifications from the GR7 to GR9.

My old teacher back in middle school said Alex, you ask WAY too many questions. She redirected me to SEARCH for my answer instead. You know, there's a lot of ways one can SEARCH for the answer. Back then, I had to SEARCH through dictionary and encyclopedia for my answers. Now, we have this nify little button called SEARCH, but that would make it too easy, wouldn't it?

I'm unsure whether the LGBs worked on the old Harrier. There's been alot of threads asking about Muttrah as well. Maybe now would be a nify time to read what I said above to see if a clue is hidden; careful though, it's quite challenging.

well, that didnt help at all, but i already tried the "SEARCH"
this new thing that i deffenitly didnt try before, because my brain is so much smaller than yours.

hey, quick thought.... you ever tried to "SEARCH" for muttrah city? I found a bunch of nothing, and one thread about "Who misses Muttrah" but there was nothing about where,how, or when Muttrah will return.

follow your own advice fore-hand and make sure its still relevant, o and dont go searching for 20 minuste, finally find a 18 week old thread and give a link saying here it is, dirka dirka! because i searched and found nothing.

anyways, vets of PR(0.3 on) was the Harrier in 0.3, did the LGB guide?
and anybody.......any word on Muttrah???

The thread I posted above (which I found, by what else than SEARCHING)contains mentions of Muttrah v2 by Rhino. The following quote by Rhino from the thread above resonding to a post asking about what happened to Muttrah v2 not being released in 0.7

As for the Harrier, go download the new Kashan Training map and see for yourself. It's so unfinished and difficult to fly, I cannot imagine that anyone could even fly it long enough for infantry to designate a target. In fact, it doesn't even have an engine sound!

uhhhhhhhhhhhh..................ok..........i cant play any BF2 mods right now(computer problems) and my BF2 software is stuck on my computer, so when i try 2 reinstall it, the puzzle peices dont match, and its all f'ed up

but as soon as this is straightened out, ill go try it

one question:
why do the Marines(airforce) have the GR9??? they have the AV-8B, the British have the GRs, we have the AV-8s.

but aside from that.... did you test the weapons systems?(with bots)
are the brimstones pilot guided?

Ah man.. come on. A quick Google of the GR9 would result in learning that the RAF (British Royal Air Force) use the GR9 which means the UK Team in PR is going to be using it, not the Marines/Army/AirForce.

But seriously neutron man, why do you ask so many questions? Can't you just let things flow? See what the devs create for you come 0.8, and be ecstatic for it.

In the meantime just let them get on with their work and let the forum-goers go back to posting humorous but by now cliche pictures of loller-cats.

I'm tempted to just start locking these threads of your's on sight, or at least discuss that possibility with the other mods. It's like you're OCD about these aircraft suggestions/questions. Just give it a rest dude.

Thank you, althought, no lies, i am OCD..... Ever wonder why I make no grammatical mistakes in my posts... and if I do I edit it, like now. But I love the Harrier and I need to know as about it as I can so that i will know what will be there, also if i dont have all the info, i get mislead by videos and people that have exagerated or lied about something.IE: the F-16 with the LGB video(youtube it) and i think its goin to be sooooooooo awesome, and its not as awesome as i thought..... I(an OCD person) like for everything to be in order, as a pilot, that means knowing all about the aircraft of the next mod/version. So, although you laugh at me....i feel the desire, the NEED to ask these, because if i ask anywhere else, they have no idea... if i ask ingame(cant right now but normally) they will feed me straight 100% BS, wheather they want to or not. So sorry if you wanted to make a case against me for being annoying, but i didnt mean to be, to me, if these questions remain in this noodle, ill go basically insane and i start to ask people in other games if they know about this game and blah blah blah... sorry and thanks

The RAF (and now also Royal Navy) GR7/GR9 and the USMC AV-8B share a common airframe, the MD-Boeing/BAE Harrier II, they just have different designations and capabilities.

We are using the base Harrier II airframe to make models for both US (AV-8B Harrier II-Plus) and UK versions (GR9, which is an avionics upgrade to the GR7; they are almost indistinguishable). They will look noticeably different, beyond just the skins, and will hopefully perform the same way in-game.

but my remaining huge questions are:
-will the Brimstones be pilot guided?
-and(old harrier) did the old harriers LGBs actually track, or did they just fall(dumb bombs dressed up as LGBs)

as i said im OCD, but i just have to have everything go together.....and the old Harriers color goes nicley with the USs old camo...the new Harriers colors...........go nicley also(just not as original or patriotic as the orig.)
