I have a few questions about 3ds max. Ok when I model using refrences And i finish the model, how do you connect the model? Do you put the together like a puzzle and use attach? Or use another method.
When I make guns I like to use a box and when i want to round them I can't because theres no way i can do it. The closest I gotten was that one thing you use on the edges to make 2 edges. But that doesn't seem to work. also Bend doesn't work, and mesh smooth doesn't even get remotely close. Please help.
When you finish a model using a refrence how do you align it?
Can any of you draw out some alien gun designs for a mod I'm working on?
Also why does my pointer looklike a crosshaire?

these are all really basic modeling techniques, although i like to help fledgeling 3d artists i don't think they should be spoonfed everything when you can just get some simple tutorials or practice in max, hell even some of the inbuilt tutorials in the help section addresses some of this stuff. Your also not clear on your first question. do you have different elements or different objects, because its like the easiest thing in the world to attach and weld vertices together, sorry for being an arse but a lot of the time there are many different ways of doing the same thing, and learning yourself isn't that hard.

Also can any one please help me about the pointer thing? the mouse pointer in 3ds max looks like kind of a circle inside with lines in it and then the outside just has the 4 lines like a crosshaire, this is only when points at an object or a plane. Unless I totally forgot how the points is supposed to look also when I hold down lmb i can make the box thing the dotted line one. This never happends unless I'm in editable poly.
