Hey there everyone.

I've been part of the PR for a while, and loved the game when I got it.

But, the computer had complications, and had to be whipped.

So, after a long time, I want to get back into the game.

But, I share a computer with my brother, so I took it up with him first.

'No. The game is outdated, and has too many bugs that can slow down the computer'
Is what he said.

So: Dose PR have any major bugs within it that can break down the computer? Do I have any worry?

I think he is misinformed. The game has nothing that will affect performace of his computer.

He's making excuses. He doesn't want PR installed on the PC for whatever reason.

Has he perhaps been banned from using your cd serial for cheating or something and doesn't want you to put it back on and find out?

Because this ain't the dark ages and to make comments like that, he isn't very modern thinking is he? I've seen adults in their 50's upwards who panic like hell when you do anything to their pc's, tweak or add software, clean things up. Even people who's wallpaper disappears when you install them new video drivers to resolve problems act like it is the end of the world! These people all have one thing in common. They still believe the world is flat

He is an idiot, installing BF2 and mods will do nothing to the computer and he knows very little about computers.

no but dude kick ur brother in the nuts,if done properly he will be staying on the ground just long enough to buy u time to install bf2,patch up to 1.41 and download+ install core and maps for PR.

The game is outdated - Yes, nothing can be done about the engine without moving ship to a new one but it will still work on windows Xp and vista (with some tweaks)

... and has too many bugs - Yes BF2 is a buggy so and so. Poor quality control on DICE's part - well known and documented

... that can slow down the computer - Bugs do not affect the computer unless one is a memory leak ... which BF2 does not suffer from anyway.

Thanks for the support guys.

I told him the same thing: There aren' any major bugs that can make our computer explode.

But, I still repect him: So Ill try to bribe him or something.

I really want back PR. It was the best damn war-game I've played in a while.

But I dont thing he EVER played the game: ever.

Ill do my best to get it back on with my brother promission. And if I go behind his back, he'll lock me out of the computer.

Edit: We had CS:S on our computer, before the computer got destoyed. Why would it make a differance?

i share the pc i play on with two brothers and under a deal and several rules we made, each of us has a virtual share of the pc. Therefore, if your doing the same(ish) thing on your pc you have equal rights to install games and play what you like

just ask him nicely tell him it's a great game, he might enjoy it and that theres no reason to not have the game

p.s. counterstrike source is generally diliked as "an arcade game for noobs" by the pr community, it's an inside joke
