Most people anticipate more action from attacking, that can be a reason?
For me, I try to hook up with people i know.

That's normal... who wants to run around with a crappy G3 through the hot sand if he can sit inside a blackhawk holding an M16A4 ACOG in his hands ;)

But the DEVs could take the option of switching teams completely out of PR. Just like it is in Forgotten Hope 2!

But it's not a problem for me! Finally most of all servers run auto-team so there are no 4 vs 60 teams.

I always switch to get with my clan/friends. Not to mention, I almost always go Insurgent. Theyre more exciting...

People will always teamswitch, and rightfully so, you have friends you want to pay with. I think switching for the team you want is annoying, but oh well...

conscript virus, set it to English Voice Over only...right?

Yeah, only time I've switched it up is to play with PRT guys. But the nubs who can't use a G3 yet are still switching.

Although I find it funny that people teamswitch to USMC on Oman/Zatar, since those maps often see the USMC lose.....coincidence? I think not.

I think most of us here only switch to play with clan team mates, you get your occasional BF2V nub that does it to get a vehicle.

Like most others here, I switch teams depending on where my friends are. Although I make a rare exception and switch anyways if my team is absolutely retarded.

No matter if Im loosing or winning as a whole team. Im switching only to play with ppl I know and respect so I can have a decent round cooperating, chatting and laughing.

players 80% of the time only team switch to be on the same team as there mates. I would say only a 10 or 15% of the time its due to ppl wanting other weapons and 10 or 5% is other.

Hit the nail on the head for most of it.

As for the "western is better" feeling, I personally hate the shit out of GB/British faction ingame, chinese much the same. On the USMC vs MEC maps, I can't help but feel the USMC is better equipped in most areas, especially small arms (excluding the HK LMG, that thing is a beast), I'll always drop my G3 for a M16A4/ACOG given the chance, one match I even had my squad put down suppressive fire so I could run out and grab a M16 <--- sounds a little excessive doesn't it? Well so is the G3's deviation to some degree.

Yeah that's it! Most of all ppl can't deal with that deviation of the G3. Sometimes it's funny though.

The thing is, since 0.7 with the new m16a4 new guys feel it's easier to use than all other weapons - although every weapon in game is quite deadly, it just depends on the user and his/her experience with the weapon. I for example when playing as usmc love the m249, but as it raises way to much attention on public servers i prefer to pick up the hk machinegun, simply cause it is just like the m249 a killer and doesn't raise half as much attention.

Now about the teamswitching, I only switch teams to play with mates from tourney or the lot's of buddy's i know from pubbing - I think the amount of teamswitchers who switch team just because they are loosing is definately lower than in all previous releases.
