Few words to say that to add the bell is a good idea, it is really well modeled but... I think this chopper needs more tuning.
He is far harder to pilot compare to the LB & BH.
The behaviour of the bell is really strange specialy on take off & while landing.
What you can expect on take off is even when you move slowly the power a quick movement on the left or right (that you didn't expected) that can crash instantly the chopper (It gives the sensation that the chopper has the weight of a leaf, and that he is hardly pushed on the flank by the wind): When I say, moving slowly the throttle : increase of 1% for example...
You can have the same effect while landing. Even if you try to be smooth, the chopper can on the some case roll hardly on the sides and crash is 1 second.
To sum-up, I think the the bell is too sensitive.
You can see a lot of experienced chopper players crashing easily with this helicopter.
ps : before writing this : I've got no prob to fly on BH & LB, I've trained about 3h~4h on the bell since the patch. But it's still hard to understand how he is going to react in some cases...
Edit : I'm taking off 45 sec after getting in the chopper to be sure... I know at which % of the throttle the chopper is stable etc... That you can't reduce too quickly the power... etc... I'm not a newbie (I've been playing PR since 0.3). I think this chopper is too sensitive and seems sometimes far from reality & need a little tuning to be really good. That's all.

Your problems are throttle problems. Take off to early (yes, even after the sound finishes, you have to wait a bit more) and you will flip. Don´t reduce throttle to 0% immediately on landing? Or reduce too much? You will flip. I like the huey, but if you don´t know these things It may seem too sensitive.
For all choppers with skids: Try to land moving forward slightly, and just as you touch down stop moving forwards. Any sidewards movement on a chopper with skids is a risk on landing.
The Huey is probably one of my favourite controled choppers.

After the "warm up" noise wait another 10 secs. Also if you are on anything other than totally flat ground, spin the heli round until the HUD is level even if this makes the nose slightly up or down. If the nose is up or down on take off, youre going to swoop in that direction so make sure theres noone around. One other thing - you need to keep it pretty much level all the time - if the nose rises or drops to much in the air, youre going to dive into the ground. When you land it is best to go pretty much straight down, so you need to choose you landing point in good time and then drop on it ( you wont be able to see it when you land ) It still takes ALOT of practice and I still crash it ocassionaly, but I do love flying it. Hope this helps.

Im not so sure its a bug. I used to get the same over the dam and around the UK bases ( both places are very detailed/have lots of detailed assets ) I dropped the res on my comp and Ive not had any problems since. I did get it once on archer after playing loads of maps for about 8 hours but a restart sorted it.Zimmer wrote:you must also see the bell and merlin bug that makes the chopper lags like playing pr on a slow modem on a server over the dam.
