Amazing, Simple Suggestion to Stop Base Raping!

Stop calling it "base rape". You guys are sounding like a bunch of savages. This goes for all other variations of the term.

"Spawn killing/camping" works better and more accurately describes the act and does not also imply that destroying base assets like AT positions, unmanned vehicles or UAV/Artillery positions is foul play.

I thank each and everyone one of you who decide to cease using this term in-game and so help lift our mod community out of the cesspool that is public FPS kiddie-gaming.

I completely agree, I would also like to do away with the other various terms that people over time have actually come to believe to be insults, such as "Noob" and "(insert here)Whore"

a problem with the childish gaming lingo? c'mon, whens the last time you heard an Iraqi spout out "damn marines, they are baserapping iraq"

Or when a ground pounder sees an A-10 kill a tank in front of him, hes not like "damn planewhore, stole my kill"

Yeh its war, but i highly doubt people in real war use such lingo, and this is project reality

Hmm... we are on us carrier... apcs are near and shooting planes in spawn, and jets are killing ppl on runway... where's fun?
So stop talking about "it's war" becouse "it's game"...

I will admit I yell about base raping when I see it. My definition of base raping is focusing on an uncappable spawn point(usually of course with a jet) and not allowing a vehicle to stay spawned for more than two seconds. Earlier today we were getting raped like crazy on one of the servers in Gulf of Oman. Both the jets seemed to scan the carrier everyminute or so and even went as far as circling over and over and over. I don't have anything against this when they have all the flags, but these guys were simply racking up kills and leaving their team to do all the real work. It didn't help that lag put me into the ground twice after take off and the fact that the other usmc pilot, when he got up in the air, refused to shoot anything down. I saw the ******* on the tail of one of the jets only to abandon it after only five seconds of chasing to find an easier ground target.

If you didn't notice, I'm venting. Still though, it's extremely frustrating to not be able to use any air vehicles just because some pricks refuse to take on a challenging target.

I don't think a new term will change the animosity I, and others, hold towards base rapers if they are called spawn killers.

Base rape is also a far better term for it because I see spawn killing as camping at a spawn point and killing helpless players. I guess I am nearly helpless as an infantry against a jet, but I still can avoid the jet.

Baserapeing is almost the official word, its beed used (from my memory) since Delta Force 1, man that brings back memorys.

The good old inisability cheat, everyone around you starts dieing at the spwan point so you start shouting "STAY DEAD, HE CANT KILL YOU IF YOUR DEAD"

I think i might just go play some DF2, theres still about 400 online players.

I'm not suggesting it will change your feelings towards getting spawn killed. I'm saying we won't sound like a bunch of savages when our wives/girlfriends/mothers look over our shoulders.

Ya, the bases, all the more an aircraft carrier should have good defense against air. But at the same time, well its the teams work to secure their airspace in order to negate chances of spawn kills from constant bombing.
And if you cant do it, well thats maybe why your stcuk to your last flag anyways

I for one, am even for the fact of having the Carrier flag cappable, if the MEC are able to take it. DAMN THEY DESERVE IT
