ok, i know i already posted this in another thread, but i just wanna say that i am interested in this mod. i am a static modeler(still learning though) and part time coder/mapper. i know BF2 will be different to mod for than the 2 previous BF games, but i am eager to see how much easier BF2 is to mod for.

upon me buying BF2, i plan on learning to code and map. i might still model a few buildings here and there, but i like mapping more, and coding helps a lot with mapping.

i have only released 2 serious maps, BuggyBattle_II for IS82(runs on ISR's server roatation), and Desert Strike for DC.

here is a link to the download of Desert Strike, which has some screens: http://battlefield1942.filefront.com/fi ... e_20;24244
i know it isnt the best, but that map was made a while ago, and i am more skilled now. also, BC has been updated, making it better for shadowing stuff from mods. also, i coded in new class setups in that map, which kinda shows the coding i currently do. not nothing major, but makes each map i make feel different.

in BB_II, i modeled custom tires for the buggies, and coded NOS and stuff for them. heres some links to a few screens of this map:

note, if you look at my comment, there are links to each individual pic, also, those pics arent of the final version(track is floating in those pics, i added supports after pics were taken)

as i said before, i want to see what kind of tools BF2 will provide, but i am interested in joining this mod. if i dont make the team, maybe keep me in mind for a tester ;) .

you DC map looks pretty good, I like how you laid everything out and the use of shadows and trees helps. Also I can tell you are not a complete amatuer  because you managed to get map specific items like the runway and vehicle bunker in there. I would have finished off the terrain in photoshop though because battlecrafts textures are **** IMHO. other than that nice looking map.

heh, thanks. like i said, any type of coding that has to do with custom map stuff(buildings, edited vehicles, etc) i can code in pretty much.

people keep telling me to use ED42 to make maps, especially for the textures. i tried before, and its not that i cant/dont wanna learn to use ED42, its just that i have a slow upload speed, so its a pain to send in a 25mb+ map. thats why i use BC, it makes nice, small filesizes for maps.

yeah there is only 2 things I don't like about bc42, the object limit and the **** textures, but the texture part is simple to fix. I don't like ed42 because you have to unpack all those rfas in order to make your map.
