Hey,
I do not know if this is possible or not these days, but can serveradmins extend the time slightly before map starts? Because afaik, every server is on a 3 min timer.
If not, could this be made an option?
If it is allready possible, could SA's revaluate the timer?
I understand the need to not make it shorter, but i can't see the DEV-reason for not having an option of extending it.
In my opinion, 3 minutes between maps is not long enough. It's hectic. It cripples me.
My computer takes about 1 minute to load the map, others are faster, fair enough. But it leaves 2-2.5 minutes to get the team together, squads working, and a commander communicating strategy. This is rushy enough, and imo needs longer time itself.
But where in all this are one supposed to take a piss, get more beer, make a snack, have his cigarette etc.?
Pre-rounds are better suited for a short break then going afk mid-battle.
After playing a map for 2-3 hours, wouldn't it be nice with a 5(-10) minutes "break" before kicking off a-new?
Or is there wide concensus on the present clock?
I know this has been a topic sometime in days past, but haven't seen it been brought up during the last versions of PR. I apologize if it's recently been discussed, without my knowledge.

No offence mate, but you could upgrade your computer rather than make 95% of us wait for you to get sorted.
Three minutes is really long enough, and I will bet that more people want it shorter than longer.

It takes me about a minute or so to load the map and I never have trouble getting organized.

Re: Longer breaks between rounds?
I wasn't asking if they could hold the time for me to load the map.
My loading time wasn't intended a point at all.
I think 3 minutes (minus whatever loading time) is really no time at all. If you think otherwise, no problem for me.
The issue was giving serveradmins the ability to prolong the timer for a minute or two, if they were to feel the way i do. Making it up to them, and not be a rigid PR-feat. I'm not asking for enforcement of this, rather the opposite.
OK?
Sorry if i didn't make myself clear.

Can i known why you want to wait longer since its not a computer issue ?
The squads things are done in 20 sec , don't you ?

3 mins seems to be the good ammount of time to load> make squad>wait for ppl to join>assign kits>plan>where to spawn/=.

I wouldnt mind waiting one or two more minutes, really. If it helps, i've nothing against it.

3-4 is fine I think. 5-6 and I'll be just getting drinks.

Anything more than five is overkill. If everyone's communicating, more time is handy. But sometimes I'd say "which squads are going where?", there'd be nothing but Yes/No radio spam from grunts.
It's best to plan toward the end of the timer, as some people have slower comps and take longer to load. That way, everyone's informed.

I think its nice as it is now, i mean max 1 minute more if you want to add some time.
My pc (laptop) needs about 2 mins to load up a map, so i enter the game when the countdown is at average 1:20/1:00/00:30 or less, the quite right amount of time to form up squads, a bit of swaplag at beginning, but that's another story.
