I have not seen any threads in this section on this topic so I thought I would start one so that, even if a solution to this problem is unavailable, people will still be able to come here to get the facts.
I have found recently, as many other players have noticed, that at the end of nearly every game round, and sometimes for no apparent reason during a round, I find myself kicked from a server and dropped back to my PR BF2 Login Screen.
In addition, when I re-login, it is to discover that my Video graphics settings have been reset to medium, and cannot be changed until the entire program is exited and re-started.
This error began occurring for me late last week, without any alteration to my program or settings. I will assume, until otherwise informed, that the error must have something to do with a change in server-side coding. The question is... is this a BF2 coding change, or a PR coding change?
If anyone has more information on this bug, i.e. a fix for it, please let myself and everyone else know. Other information however would also be helpful: What kinds of systems are prone to this bug? Has it happened to you? When did it start? When did it stop, if at all?

Me too. I think this is the fault of the EA account servers. They are probably scaling back the resources dedicated to BF2 now with BF:BC coming out.

Re: Crash to Login Screen Bug
Ok. So our number one suspect is EA/DICE. Does anyone have any hard evidence that they are in fact messing with their account servers? Has anyone seen anything on the BF2 forums? I'll go snoop around tomorrow, but if anyone knows anything, put it up.
