[Question] Reference Sites?

Post by DeltaFart »

Anyone know of a good reference site I can look at? I'm going to be kind of stuck when I finally learn how to officially model cause there are some pictures that are better than others, and I would like to have at least two views a front and side view to make width and all that stuff not so difficult...

Google... lol :D

HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth

Just one thing, you don't have to start modeling with military only models. Go find anything you can, for example, go on newegg.com and look at a case they got on there. click on the picture and model thing by thing, detail it well, and dont worry about polys. Best way to learn modeling is by starting out doing stuff that does not really appeal to you. My friend said that, who is working for a game company, and models there for a living.

Good luck!

Yeah... start small first. Otherwise you'll end up like me, screwing up a lot on the model and redo everything over and over again.

My suggestion, try modeling a simple object you have laying around your computer, that way you know exactly what to work on and how it should look. After you get a good feel of how everything goes with your program, then move on to more complicated stuff.
