For some reason Punkbuster is kicking me and states that i am Perma-Banned.
I don't know what is wrong or if i have really been banned or not.

I only just DL PR yesterday.

yeah...if you were added to the punksbusted perma-ban list in bf2, dont let the door hit you on the way out. if not, that pbsetup.exe thing should fix the problem.

DL it didn't help and i never played Normal BF2, i got it to play this mod.

did you buy the game new from a shop? If so take it back and ask for an exchange as the cd-key may have been cracked. If you bought it from e-bay or similar I am not sure what you can do to get your money back i'm afraid.

Edit: is it happening on all servers?

Also make sure you have the punkbuster check box clicked in the server listing page

Mind if I hijack the thread somewhat? Good lol. When I try to join the TacticalGamer server, I'll randomly get booted by punkbuster for various thing, it mostly pertains to like missing files, often about maps, or effects but I of course have all the vanilla maps (As those are the ones it says I'm missing). Is that related to this guys punkbuster issue? Or does the server just hate me?

Well you see i got the hold thing from Cheo he gave me a CD key and his CD's but he told me that it was a real CD key.

I'd always say, if you want to play a game online, never buy 2nd hand. You never know the history of the CD Key.

Unfortunately, if the key is banned, you're pretty much screwed; since the EULA doesn't allow for selling on (it's in there somewhere that you can't) they won't give you a new key just 'cos you bought from a 'tard. Can't blame them really; they get no money from a 2nd hand sale.

My advice, purchase a new copy from amazon or play.com if you really want to play the mod, more than likley there will be nothing wrong.

If you purchase a new copy do not get a download version, it wont run PR properly. you need a disc copy.

Depends where you live, In the US you could get a lawyer and charge them with something. they cant sell you it and they know it wont work, fraud in other words. Your best bet if you don't want is to go back make him buy it back then walk out, then go get your own.


EDIT:You say Cheo gave you the CD keys? Ill see if i can get him to look here. he doesnt do anything bad on servers so.......

After reading your posts (kinda fish), it looks like you bought a dead cd-key, sorry.

BF2 is so cheap now and its not a limited item, its you best bet just to get a fresh copy.
