When you disconnect, you die and a ticket is lost. Now some people either got a CTD, had to alt+F4 due r/l issue or simply lost connection, happens all the time.
However should a team lose a ticket if someone left the game?
And; is it possible to remove losing tickets if you leave the game?
Discuss.

Re: Disconnects and tickets
I wish the team did not lose a ticket due to a technical fault, this is especially annoying in the PRT.

Re: Disconnects and tickets
there are enough tickets per map to not worry about it. who cares if a team loses 5-10 tickets because of disconnects?

Re: Disconnects and tickets
In the end 1 ticket matters alot, especially if the round is going draw.
Example = score is 50 - 50 , going great both teams hold it equally and reduces to 30 - 30.
Then if you lost 5 - 10 tickets?
We all play PR for the teamwork, but in the end it is about who has the greatest teamwork that wins, and that is why you are trying to win aint it?
I don't play to just do teamwork, I play to win, and to win takes the best teamwork.
I agree with Outlaws, should be removed if possible.

Are you sure? I thought tickets disappear when someone respawns? (So medics save tickets by reviving)

No its when they are 'Killed' not 'Critically wounded' so when people CTD etc, they are 'killed' straight away.

correct once you enter dead stage the team loses a ticket. It should be removed if possible. 1 ticket in most servers is alot if its 300 per aside.

Re: Disconnects and tickets
Could it be changed to tickets taken away upon spawn? And somehow make a person's initial spawn (when score = 0/0/0) exempt? That would be more realistic IMO as you lose 1 person from the 'reinforcement pool' when someone enters the field of battle, rather than leaves.TheScot666 wrote:No its when they are 'Killed' not 'Critically wounded' so when people CTD etc, they are 'killed' straight away.

Um... it's 0.3% of the total tickets.LtSoucy wrote:correct once you enter dead stage the team loses a ticket. It should be removed if possible. 1 ticket in most servers is alot if its 300 per aside.
Granted, if 20 people CTF throughout a match that's twenty tickets lost, but the law of averages says that around half will be lost from each side.... making this whole thing pretty moot.
BOTH teams in a match will suffer from this. Where it's a real problem is in organised matches like the PRT, and for there I'd suggest accurate and impartial logging/confirmation of CTD's, and a single ticket addition/reduction to the relevant side at the end of the match where needed.
Although frankly if you're winning by so little that 2-3 tickets a game is a big deal, then you've got bigger issues than CTDs.

Except for the situations where it is as it was earlier today for me: the Tickets are 8-5....but how often does that really happen?Threedroogs wrote:there are enough tickets per map to not worry about it. who cares if a team loses 5-10 tickets because of disconnects?

I don't understand the last comment, are you saying that 1 team always has to pwn??? Or what??'[R-MOD wrote:Masaq;700379']Um... it's 0.3% of the total tickets.
