what you can see after a tank is hit: smoke.
is it possible to change the body texture (in the hit zone... for example: to darken it) of a tank/APC/HMV after a hit - or "deform" some parts?

Do the textures not sometimes black out a little when some armour is hit? Or is my memory just being **** yet again.

this is something alot of people have thought about, i've been thinkin about it since i started playing 1942, but alas something like this would require more computer power from the players and may cause lag issues. and such a thing would be a lot of work for minimal gain

Besides. Someone quoted a book in a thread the other day stating how tank crews were shooting multiple rounds into other tanks because they couldn't percieve any visible damage. They had killed the crew after probably the 1st hit but couldn't tell. So if they have a problem not knowing in RL combat why not here..lol.
If brute force doesn't work.......your not using enough of it.

Re: changing body texture after a hit
My point was to not mess with it. If they have a problem IRL seeing physical damage when hit might as well not mess with it on the models.
