Kashan 16

What ever happened to the bunkers-only version of Kashan 16? That was a pretty good infantry map.
Was it removed for any reason other than including the new one? If not could it possibly be returned in .8 as a standalone, seperate from the other kashans?

Yea,I'm pretty sure the 16 player version of Kashan still is just the Bunker complex...Just not on too many servers anymore...

It was tried on T&T earlier this evening and the 16 version of kashan was the full map, same spawns and flags as 32 & 64 but with just jeeps, trucks and trans helos.
It still has the loading screen of the old bunkers map, but when you load, it isn't.

The 16 version is the full map indeed, though there are only transport helicopters/trucks/aas and some APC's I think, long time since I've played it, pretty good with the right people, if not it is useless

A couple of EEF dudes made the current version of kashan 16, which they intended to be called "kashan light combat mode", but for one reason or another it is called Kashan 16, i presume because it just fits. I forget who in EEF made it, but EEF gets all the credit. its a brilliant map design and provides great gameplay. The old 16 kashan was repetitive and boring, with not enough to do (no offence, but it was). usually people would just sit at the top of the stairways and snipe. same thing over and over. with the addition of trans helos and Jeeps, it provides for a much more pleasurable gameplay experiance IMO. the only thing i would change about it is, have the start points, the North and south village, instead of the airstrips.
EDIT: Sloan,Marko and Olsen made Kashan 16

I see no disadvantage in having both, assuming they're named differently

Yeah! We got 4 versions of kashan, why not make it 10?
Hmm...night in the bunkers would be interesting, maybe add a sandstorm (severely reduce fog range) to make it more interesting still, and negate the effectiveness of NVGs...Probably a beta map, see how it goes in testing.

I hope the Night version of Kashan,and the day version are kept,that will PWN so much...
I fell in love with Night Kashan,when everyone was testing out there for a while...
