Louder Jet noises

Post by SuperTimo »

Having been near a runway when typhoons and tornadoes and other fast jets have taken off i feel the noise of the jets is faer too quiet espically when on afterburner.

take a look at this video

you can hear the very loud burning noise that is created when behind the jet, at the moment it just seems to be a low pitched rumble rather than a harsh sharp noise

I use surround sound and I need to hear other things than the jet jockeys when on Kashan.

Meh. My creative drivers are still not functioning as they should, and I get crackling in-game. The Jet sound is loud enough, any more and my ears will explode.

What kind of sound settings do you have in BF2? Hardware or Software?

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

One thing this reminds me off regarding sound, is when you fly a jet, and you hit c to toggle your "rear" view of the aircraft, is it possible to just keep the ambient in cockpit noises? Its really annoying having your volume turned up and you hit c and it blow your ears out, and its not realistic to have the engines be that loud while inside the cockpit. Just a thought. You also can't hear the missile lock warnings, which has proved fatal.

Its not even "realistic" to be able to look behind like that , but I guess that makes up for the lack of radar *COUGH*
