T&T Running Archer64 and Basrah - for a day or two.

Hi lads,

We have Archer 64 & Basrah 64 only on our server for the next day or two.

Just for a change... obviously expect the server to crash quite often at the end of rounds... but it will always restart.. so just re-join.

Server is capped at 50 players.. to help keep these crashes to a minumum.

ARCHER.... come and get some!

I didn't even realise your server was still going, not seen it on the above 30 playersish level in a long time. Only British server I know of which is a shame, and kinda weird considering alot of the DEV team seem to be UK based.

Just played a round as the ins. and it was fun, only 8 to 12 people on at the time.
It was having the team-switch without death TK thing going for a while.

Meh IMHO Basrah > Archer

It's a nice map, but blows in terms of balance. 450 tickets, a JDAM and Insurgents forced to defend 50% caches out in the open desert, while the other 50% are in the city that can get JDAMd or completely annihilated in some other way, making cache defense a joke. Not to mention lack of Mosins/SVDs which would be extremely needed for Ins to counter the M16A4.

I would play archer but there is so dam many death pits and the walls at the "Candian" main base that if you touch with an APC u die

Crashes were horrendous. Back to the regular maps.

Yeah it's like that for me to, I joined when it was empty yesterday just so I could get a look around at archer.

Archer is the best Insurgency map IMO. Firefights in the town are incredible, as as the rapid Huey insertions/extractions. Have the crashes and death pits been removed from this map and generally cleaned up for 0.8?
