Pilots
Ok this isnt for suggestions or anything But it is about how pilots get flamed every time they crash its either atleast you tried or the insults you suck why do you try if you cant you sould stop tring but they dont even think about the pilot 1. Offering to give them a ride or they tried to fly maybe they got shot down because you told them to goto a hot LZ or maybe they have ping spikes that take the from flight to death(ME).2.Dont critize unless you can do better.

Re: Pilots
in a pub game aircraft get shot down because they don't have intel on the ground, but also because they tend to try and have non-stop killing when they should wait for confirmed intel.
but if they crash...oh noes...we don't have the jet for a few mins...end of the world...not, most ppl just wanna blame som1 else for bad stuff happening ingame. I already miss the PRT

Re: Pilots
The most important thing when flying on pub is not to fly/land in a hot zone. Let them out in a secure LZ, even if they'd have to walk a while to get into the hot zone. It's not your job to land them in the middle of the hot zone.

My point is that one time the whole map was hot my main base had a SA7 setting outside it

Then, they (you) must not fly... That simple.Fuzzy12345 95 wrote:Ok this isnt for suggestions or anything But it is about how pilots get flamed every time they crash its either atleast you tried or the insults you suck why do you try if you cant you sould stop tring but they dont even think about the pilot 1. Re: Pilots
it is lame i get loads of **** if i go down because of the AA no one told me about, just ignore them they are the fools who requested support or an extraction without first checking for AA and other threats.
If your getting lagg spikes dont fly. but sometimes you get them when your already in the air, shit happens. alot of people like blaming their mistakes on others so they feel superior. and its "the pilots fault" in their opinion as we should be uber 1337 with our good equipment.

Inf cant always spot every threat, as the pilot, you take responsability for their safety as long as they are in your helicopter.

Re: Pilots
no one is asking you to be super leet. As long as you get the thing into air without flipping it over, manage to fly a few hundred meters without getting shot down and on top of that if you manage to bring the bird close to the ground without being stuck in a palm tree then everyone will be happy with your performance. (this is obviously for transport helis)
I want to jump into a transport aircraft, not into a flying deathtrap. If you can't transport people with a transport helicopter then go back to local server and keep practicing.

Re: Pilots
once they are in and in the air safley its the pilots responsibility, however its the inafntrys responsibity to make sure than an LZ is clear for landing, and that there is no AA near CAS targets.Skodz wrote:Inf cant always spot every threat, as the pilot, you take responsability for their safety as long as they are in your helicopter.
the pilot is trusting you to get it right, and if you get it wrong not only does the pilot and chopper go down your sqd may go down or the target is not destroyed.
of course you cant spot everythreat but you can see a lot more than i can at altitude

Re: Pilots
Pilots do need to take some responsability in this area, ask if the area is clear for one, remember, the CO is your switchboard that connects you to the guys on the ground, use him to find out conditions on the ground and safe LZs.

Re: Pilots
I can't speak for everybody, but personally, every time I fly, I *never* crash my aircraft. My deaths come from a combination of the occasional case of poor navigation (especially on Basrah or Qwai) and atrocious intel on the ground.
What's worse than being shot down from bad intel is being shot down by an ace. The other day, an F16 pilot on Kashan 64 kept on my tail for two minutes before shooting me down - is it my fault, or his?

Re: Pilots
The only people i have problems with are the people that cant fly, camp the chopper or plane spawn, then crash, then camp the chopper or plane spawns again, and do the same again.
Thats when i start saying go practice on local before flying online....=)
Also, timo, ur from somerset?
If so, whereabouts?

Re: Pilots
But as a good pilot you should be able to admit a mistake, even though you get flamed.. Just suck it in..
For an example on Wetlands, I like to fly really low when dealing with transport helicopters and this was my 4th time flying in a Huey.. Well anyways just got off the carrier with full loaded Huey and my chopper just hit the water by an inch, so apparently I get forced into the water slowly, you know how it works.. And I said sorry and life goes on.. Was my fault, and I bet one of them could have done better than me, but hey, shit happens.
No reason to become a ***** yourself for flying.
