Now most of us by now have figured out the Battlefield 2142 uses the same engine as Battlefield 2, and many of us have seen several features that would be useful in PR, whether it be sound files or animations. My question is, if any Devs, Cons or Pubs have the time, what are the limitations when transferring aspects from 2142, to BF2, is there a liscencing problem or just technical issues. I ask because I've been thinking about several suggestions that have to do with 2142, but don't know if they'd be appropriate due to issues I don't know of yet.

it dose not use the same engine, it uses a modified BF2 engine to allow the extra features your referring too...

The limitation is that hardly any of us has bf 2142. I doubt a community that wants a realistic mod got moist when Dice announced walkers and ufos.

There aer many features currently in PR that would not work in 2142. The downsides to moving greatly outweigh the benefits. And that's before you take into acount the hundreds of hours it would take to port everything over or the loss in community and player numbers.

And I think that concludes this resuggestion.
