Cain - must - stop - suggesting!!!

I'm talking about the lil piggy squeal "ahh" whenever you injure your ankle or anything at all... Is it possible to make it a bit more of a manly grunt so its actually believable that you've been shot/twisted ankle rather than just broken a nail?
Also when injured, The coughing is good but it's not quite "there" in making you really feel injured.

I think youll all agree that the sound players a big part in immersion

Nothing exactly desperate that bothers me muchly but just checking out the latest animations, the door breaching on korengal and that funky lil head tilt with the camera and like I said all the new reload animations and so forth really are changing this game into summin totally unrecognisable and it can be the tiniest lil bit of aesthetics that adds a giant world of immersion

Right now all we have are some computer generated sounding "Yahh" or an "ooft" from BF2, Bear in mind that you dont bleed in Vanilla so these sounds aren't exactly made to be looped over and over and iirc the coughing is taken from the tear gas effect?

Anything the PR devs do is far better than anything Vanilla could produce and right now the Injury sounds yelps and so forth are all a bit cobbled together from scraps to produce the bleeding sound Which just sounds like a 12 year old stubbing his toe all the time

The accompaniment of perhaps some wheezing or summin similar would be groovey for the cough or a way to make it get quieter as time goes on but the sound of Phloem being hacking into the ear everytime you bleed just dosnt feel right for someone whos been shot.

I think you get my point, Just a lil bit more Immersion is what I'm after


Edit: "Can everyone stop gettin' shot?" Now theres something we could have, nice edit lol :D indeed though I mentioned it gurgles would be a bit much however I definately think a move away from vBF2 sounds of being shot would be good... Hmmm PR Dev work or Dice dev work... ohhh choices choices :\

Now may I have "Can everyone stop gettin' shot?" as a right clickable as an officer (Vinnie Jones anyone? :D )

Jokes aside I'd like to see every aspect of this game undergo the mods ravenous touch :P and those vBF2 sounds are one of them, or perhaps give the medic some honey and lemon, Beechams FTW

I vote for the girly screech I produce upon being shot in PR.
Followed by either "SCHNIPER!!" or another girly screech.

balls or no balls, it's about realism! Imagine me in war, I'd be screeching non stop! So would all the other... men I would serve with! Damn right they would! xD

I wouldnt wish on any of you to endure hearing those sounds in real life.

I dont think this degree of "realism" has a place in the game.

If you dont can figure out - here is some clue for you.
"Realism" would be to feel. If you dont feel in a game you have the sound left.

He has a very good point. But a bit more of a "ugh!" noise wouldn't harm, but I don't want no death gurgles!

This is "realism" that is unnecessary to the game.
At the end of the day......thats what it is.
Those of you who are looking for more "gurgles" and wet coughs have obviously never seen or personally had to hold an MRE wrapper over a sucking chest wound while a close friend looks blankly up into your eyes knowing that "This is it."

I want realism too.

wow that was pretty dark mode! ...Im glad I have never had to experience that.

but (moving onto the game) I do agree that sound is a big part of the immersion. Films like Saving Private Ryan (and Band of Brothers) etc do not shy away from the gory bits...and it really sucks you in...you could almost feel the bullets wizzing out of the TV on the beach landing...

if the noises were more realistic maybe you would care a little more for yourself and your fellow soldiers?

Agreed 80% Sounds more realistiq than "augh!" "loll!" and "uff!" but second thought it might sound silly too...
