As I understand in 0.8 respawning is different, the timer is longer so that a medic can get to the casualty, however the casualty effectivly has a 'suicide' button to reduce the wait time but not allow a medic to 'revive' them. This is where i was thinking that the casualty has a black screen and you are critically wounded, i could imagine that there might be a high chance of 'suiciding' thinking that a medic isn't there thus wasting the medics time and safety.
I would propose that a critically wounded soldier has a screen very much like the one before you are critically wounded, very dark but with some light so you'd be able to see a silhouette of a medic above you so you dont press the button. If it were possible you could make it so that whilst in this state you can simply pan the camera left to right to see a medic coming towards you.
Next idea was to have man down animations, so a soldier on the floor will have some small movements (legs wiggling, small arm or head movement) so the medic knows that they are still 'revivable' and haven't been killed by a headshot etc or pressed the suicide button.
I think these could add to the immersion of the game and also help out gameplay a bit.
Ideas, feedback welcome ofc
And i understand that this could be completely pointless as i was just speculating on what i've seen so far for 0.8
(though if i get the mysterious
