Muttrah V2 Insurgency

It strikes me that from the pics, Muttrah V2 would make a PERFECT map for insurgency; as a city it inherently has a LOT of excellent hiding places both for caches and ambushes.

Even if it were a case of changing the OPFOR to civ-based INS. for that version, anyone else agree that this would be a superb optin, if it's not already available?

hmm, two versions of the map might be cool "5years down the line the MEC has been forced back, but a guerilla force is still fighting"

But the MEC do need the love of a new map :D

i kinda agree, i always thought it was weird that the MEC was defending the city since they are a convential army i would think they would have AA missile systems and gun batterys lining the coastline, and no choppers would be able to get anywhere near it. insurgency makes more sense to me.

I don't mean replacing the AAS version; I mean keeping the MEC AAS version but also having a civ-based INS map, which could be set several years down the line.

As long as we have the normal version im all for an insurgency version.

An Insurgency version would require a separate map, as you're using different factions. One map version for MEC (AAS), one for Insurgents (Insurgency).

It might be worth the extra file size for the levels download.

can we have MEC defending weapon caches instead of insurgents. i'm sure proper armies have weapon caches some where too. would be some new game play also

Interesting... as for the person above me (sorry I forgot your name) that would be interesting... instead of Caches, we could have something like rockets or missiles or tank/plane parts...

I was thinking that in normal insurgent mode when you pick up say.. an RPG kit or PKM or something how about having caches spawn IED's but more of them like 4 of them or maybe Anti-Personnel devices such as claymores?

Sorry if its been suggested before

Back on Topic - I reckon Insurgency on this map would be excellent!

not going to happen...

the MEC is a conventional army and not a insurgent group...

Muttrah is a VERY wealthy city in a very wealthy country that has no chance of being overthrown by insurgents any time soon....

The MEC are defending the city as they captured Oman and they are defending there prize with the USMC attacking at a unexpected angle well behind the front lines to attempt to cut off supply lines and the lines in the south will just fall after it. There is no reason why MEC would defend ammo caches there....

If you wanted objectives then you could do scenario mode but tbh there is little more objectives in the city other than area control.

we aint been able to do any "stress testing" as of yet but in theory it should be much more reliable now.
