Solution to Fileplanet's downloading problem

Post by the_12_gauge »

1. Find a fast FTP server and download a Live Linux distribution like knoppix
2. Mount
3. Boot
4. Download
5.Burn to an empty Dvd-r

Its really that simple,i had issues with Fileplanet too and instead of moaning about it i did the above and im curently downloading via linux.

Hope that helps ;-)

Good advice, maybe a little over the top. Any post not relating to his topic will get deleted and the person may receive points.

Oh man, what a Linux fanboy! You would have thought that someone who could run Linux would suggest an easier solution.

The author is suggesting that you download an entire operating system just to download some files.

He's using a copy of Linux to download the file, then burning it to a dvd, and install it on Windows.

Its really that simple...you can find an "Entire operating system" based in linux which can be less than 150 MB...so you can have a Linux didtribution downloaded within seconds ;-) and no need to install it
