Desktop Icon (High Resolution Icon Inside)

I switch the icon size of my desktop icons on XP to big.
Noticed that the PR icon looked blurred on 48x48 so I decided to create a new one on my own.

Thats how it look like in comparison to the old on.
1st row 48x48,
2nd row 32x32 icon size:




If you like the icon I've attached it below (3.9 KB).


How to install:

Code: Select all

1. Extract the icon to the place of your choice.
   (e.g. C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr)
2. Right-click the 'Project Reality' shortcut on your desktop, then click Properties.
3. On the Shortcut tab, click 'Change Icon'.
4. In the Change Icon dialog box, click Browse,
   navigate to the folder where you have extract your icon to (see step 1.),
   select it and then click Open.
5. Click OK, and then OK again to apply the change.

If you like my icon you can add it to the new upcoming releases

Not to disrespect your work or anything (you did a great job!), but there already is a hi-res (96x96) icon included (mods\pr\readme\icons\pr_hirez.ico)

very nice work Tazz, we have been meaning to make a better icon (mainly for Vista uses) for some time but have not been able to get round to it with it being a low priority thing, take it you don't mind us including this as the official Icon for the next version?

Font on the 'PR' is wrong.

As deadfast said, there is already a hi res icon in the PR files... not sure why it's not used by default for the desktop shortcut... I'll try and remember to change to it next time I'm doing stuff to the build scripts.

Sure, I could also add some more sizes up to 256x256 resolution
Don't know what sizes vista gonna use.
I also could make a second version which is much closer to the original one for the nostalgics around here but that's no promise

Main intention was to have a good looking not blurry one using also the PR dog tags.

nice to see hi rez icon, just wonder isnt the PR on Sans-serif font not a serif font
