Deployable .50 cals
Hey, piece of advice, dont deploy a fiddy on a hilltop in lue of an AA gun, it doesnt work, hehe...
the fiddy has a rectangular maximum field of vision like a strip of tape. it cant rotate and it only tilts a little, so really for maximum effect needs to be pointed in the direction where it can take out a squad in a tight formation, has anyone found interesting ways of using the fiddy?
discuss.

even though I burst out laughing every time I see som1 on the 50 (it looks like they are taking a dump) I think the best way of using them is to be placed on a hill, overlooking the hill they might come from- since they will pop their heads up to have a look, and you can give them a bullet for their trouble.

Re: Deployable .50 cals
I usually place them overlooking a road. And placing them on hills in a two edged sword. Sure, you can see everything, but everything can see you.
So i usually put them in a low position so i can easily mow down people as them come down from a hill.
Or simply putting them to defend one important choke point such as a bridge

I set one of them next to helicopter air base, Fools road, to cover the country road.
Had a good time with that, taking out several technicals, infantry and even one of those crappy militant APC

In insurgency, placing them on major roads leading to main base (VCP on basrah) to take out suicide bomb cars and encroaching personnel works like a charm. silly insurgents
