A Plea To All Pr Players From A Defender

This is a bit of a rant after a very annoying game today.

Firstly I know that they are new toys but please note that when you see a machine gun emplacement don’t hop on and open up on thin air. Main reason being that as far as I know there is no way to replace the ammo other than destroying it and rebuilding. Also by wasting the ammo you are making the emplacement nothing more than **** sandbags and there's a good chance the defenders will jump on and only get couple of rounds on the attackers before being forced to reload which could make all the difference between keeping your forward spawn and losing it.

Also note that you shouldn’t hop on at all if there is a squad in a dedicated defensive position there. They are keeping that spawn point safe for you and the rest of the team so please don’t get in the way of them doing there job as they may need that gun at a moments notice.

While I’m on about people ruining a defence also note that jumping in lorries and driving off in them is annoying as hell for the defenders. The defenders will need that lorry to get more crates at the cp should one or more of the crates be destroyed or run out. And please don't just say that the helo's can drop some off because pilots are not always/around/available/any good so a back up is always needed. Also NEVER jump in a vehicle that is being used for fire support and drive off… If you do that you are very likely to earn a good deal of hate from your team-mates and are setting yourself up for a possible tk if they need the asset badly enough.
Oh if there is a gunner in the vehicle when you try to run off with it. Then you are a complete idiot. :d uh:

So please Pr players remember that your defenders are likely bored but are willing to put up with it in order to make sure you attackers can get your job done and when you can't you have a forward base to fall back to.

Yeah, you need not post this thread here. I'm pretty sure none of us at the PR forums community would do that in game (I hope not at least). Most of the people that do that kind of stuff are either overly excited about the awesome new 0.8 assets (but aren't we all?) or they aren't a player that cares about realism that much.
