usa armored corps

edit sorry about heading ( USA ARMED CORP)
has anyone noticed how unfair some of the older maps have become now that the usa seems only to have a styrker, TOW humvee in its arsenal. as the other side has access to both APC'S and Tanks. an example of this was on Qwia river.
this does make it harder and a little more fun somtimes but very frustrating ecspecially when your on a flag miles away form a CP you have a stryker as support and a tank and APC rolls up..... Stryker bugs out and your left high and dry with nothing more than a frag grenade to combat them with. and if your lucky the TOW mumvee may come your way if some one is smart enough to use it.

Well, the USA does have two transport little birds along with the little bird gunship. But I can see the massive disadvantage when you're playing on a random public server full of lone wolves and newbies. I never honestly understood the styrker, as it is just a downgraded APC.

it's a little unbalanced but nothing major. Those TOW hmmwv's are excellent for taking out both tanks and apcs. And then you have those lb's which make moving infantry around the map a lot faster. These are also extremely usefull in the cnc game mode to find out where the enemy emplacements are.

The map is made in my mind for the US to be defensive and not really fight the chinese head on in the fields and roads.

In fact imho, the tow hmmv is now overpowered as it always destroys a chinese tank with 1 shot... ok given the fact that you'll have a hard time against a good 3man tank crew, on public servers it's now way to easy to destroy a tank as usa. Let's be honest its easy to score one hit on a tank if you got some experience as a pr player, 2 consecutive hits were harder and required tactics and stealthyness. Also the lb's are now even more easier to fly and are just awesome for scouting and quick troop transport. And as soucy said the us forces have always been ment to be quick and stealthy on this map, not take the chinese in a full frontal assault.

So all in all the map is balanced pretty well actually.

if you hit that tank with the TOW, either it'll be disabled, dead, or so scared that it'll run home to mamma!

The whole point in asymmetrical balance, the US Army have to keep their vulnerable assets covered with TOW hummers and HAT, while using their superior mobility to flank the enemy. The chinese on the other hand have to keep their assets safe from AT while hunting the American assets and providing supporting fire for infantry.

definitely think qwai is one of the best maps in PR. its slow n steady, tactical, non-linear and very very intense at certain parts of the round and map.

would love to see more maps just like it.
