With all the discussion about falling causing bleed/death, it has been suggested that perhaps falling from moderate heights causes the inability to run for a period of time, perhaps longer than regular stamina depletion. This might simulate an injured ankle but not cause you to cough and hack till you die.

I didn't see this previously mentioned and I had to post before this guy does.

Agree, or just increase drop height, as it's kinda annoying atm.

I agree - it's good that jumping from roofs and whatnot is strongly discouraged nowadays, but it's a bit silly (not to mention frustrating) to bleed to death if you stumble on a piece of steep terrain, or misjudge a drop. Happened to me twice on Korengal yesterday. Call me noob if you want, but the current system is not particularly user friendly.
Nor particularly realistic (as if that was ever a particularly good argument).

I say increase drop heigh because I want to be able to have guys jump out of helicopter rather than climb out when flying

DeltaFart... thats not a good reason
but my reason is the terrain reason. I mean if you're crawling down terrain you should be fine.....
but then EA didn't think about this did they?

Re: Minor Falling consumes stamina rather than eminate death
well yeah that too but its already been mentioned
and Im not saying jump from 200 m I mean whenever I try jumping from a hovering helo, I usually start to bleed out cause its just a teeny bit too high
and it wasn't all that high at all maybe 1 m

Re: Minor Falling consumes stamina rather than eminate death
I think the way it is now is really harsh, but I think its meant to be. a change in the bleedout state by 5% would help immensely, but if you find your falling down alot and getting hurt, its probably because your not used to being force to use safe paths, i certainly wasn't. in 0.7 i'd jump down all over the place, in 0.8 i'm careful.
