Changing resolution out of game

I know this is the wrong section ( ) but I just need a quick response so I can get a quick game of PR in before I go to bed. I just got a new monitor and whenever I load up PR/BF2 it crashes right away with a 1280x1024 (my old res) error. I remember having this problem last time I switched monitors and going into settings and changing it seemed to fit it (I tried using targetline but it doesn't work)

The resolution in this file is overridden by the options in the shortcut's target.

It's probably inside your video-settings. It's the refresh-rate probably. If all fails, remove your video.con file and start PR. Then re-set your video settings.

Where is the video.con located? Because the video.con's that I do find look nothing like yours.

Fiddle around with those .con files (rename them for example), I do believe your problem is somewhere in there, as I had the same thing when I switched monitors.

Got it to work by changing the resolution in video.con to 1280x1024x60Hz then changing my desktop to 1280x1024x60Hz and then using target line to load BF2 as 1920x1200.
