Israeli Army addition

It only seems logical that if the U.S. is fighting the MEC forces, so is Israel. Maybe they could be added after Britain.

Infantry:

Assualt-Tavor TAR-21, Jericho 941FB, smoke and frag grenades
Medic- CAR-15 or Galil SAR or M16a1, Jericho 941FB, smoke grenades
Support- Negev, grenades
Combat Engineer- CAR-15 or Galil SAR or M16a1, Jericho 941FB, magic wrench(only to disable enemy explosives), C4
Sharpshooter- SR-99, Jericho 941FB, binoculars, smoke grenades
Pilot- Micro Uzi, Jericho 941FB, colored smoke
Anti Tank- SHIPON, Jericho 941FB, 2 extra rockets

Land vehicles:

MBT- Merkava 4
APC- L-Vas(no weapons, but good protection)
AAA- Machbet
FAV- DPV
Light Transport- Abir

I'm hoping that the APC's will be changed so the 20mm cannons in the choppers will hurt apc's. They hopefully will also be destroyed by dedicated AT missles as well as light at missles. The L-Vas should be immune to 20mm ap and be able to shrug off light AT missles from a RPG-7.

Air vehicles:

Jets: F-15I and F-16I
Attack Chopper: AH-64D Longbow Apache
Transport Chopper: Yas'ur 2000

I'd love to see the Merkava Mk.4, my favorite tank. Add a LAHAT missile in for it and it would pwn all the BF2 tanks.

I would love to see the Israeli army added after the Brits are in. I'm pretty sure it would be the most realistic addition, and would definetely be inline with the story that is supposed to be coming out soon.

I agree. Israel is a unique additon. I only know of one other mod featuring their army. I can see Israel being apart of this war simply because of their background and location on the globe. I also think Japan and Taiwan would be interesting additions in the pacific area as well. Although if considered, save them for later releases. PR doesn't seem like a multi-tasking team, since from what I have seen most of their efforts have been placed into gameplay and the United Kingdom forces. So I think the bulk of the team should be focused on editing our current sides.

Israel should be a very good addition, and it's plausible for them to fight in the immediate future, they after all have been involved in numerous war for decades already.

i would like to suggest to add the Namera heavy APC though in addition to the L-Vas. Since the conflict is in the future, it seems plausible to me that by then Namera would already replace part of the L-Vas for use in hot spots where the Namera's superior armour and weaponry (fine so the L-Vas has no weapon so this isn't a contest >_< ) would be very valuable.

and even if it's not exactly state of the art, i really would love to see Kfir purely for nostalgic value... (k now i need to sober up before ranting more ... sigh).

well actually longbow is the name of the radar and the british WAH-64 so it depends does it actually say the they use WAH-64s or AH-64 D model ones.

The main thing i dont like about the idea of adding Israeli in is that it would just be more sandy desert maps.

The main reason I suggested Russia in anouther topic is becaseue 1, BF2 is filled with russian weapons. 2, loads of extra diffrent map types that aint in BF2. 3, has room for lots of exspation in the future.

I aint 100% sure about israelis weapons but they are probaly the same, or diffrent to MECs and its all still on the same terrain. If you aks me it probaly wouldnt be worth it

I knew they had an Apache, I guess I just assumed it was a longbow.

Also, with russia, I thought that in the areas that it bordered with China and the Middle East were mountainous. By the middle east their wouldn't be snow, but snowy mountains wouldn't be that big of thing for me as I just hate mountains. Would they be fighting in Russia then? What I meen is, why would the be in Russia if the U.S. was attacking them on thier soil, wouldn't they retreat back?

Hmm, interesting.
I guess the south east of Russia yes it is mountainous but the west of Russia is in Europe (Obviously), Russia covers alot of the earth and has alot of nabour's that could be considerd worth Russia occuping and has more different climate'ed zone's than any other single country.

North Russia is artic, then there is the temperate zone and then south Russia includes mountains. Now Russia is a troubled country but if the Middle East makes a coalition i cant see why Russia cannot unite.

I dont understand why everyone is jumping on Israel, its a small country that is part of the MEC anyway.

Russia, Argentinia, Middle Africa and East Europe offer much more.

I don't think that Israel would join MEC, Israel being a Jewish country and MEC being a Islamic country. Although both consider Jerusalem a religious city, the only way MEC would get Israel to become part of MEC is by invasion.

And Israel would put a pretty good goddamn fight up! Also, since MEC and US are enemies, the US would probably help the Israelis defend.
