Mobile Artillery

Would it be possible to add an MLRS for the Americans and the SCUD launcher for the MEC and Chinese. This could be used to destroy heavily entrenched enemies or wipe out fortifications.

EXAMPLES:

Kashan Desert: MEC troops are holding South Village, fire a wave of missles from the MLRS and follow up with an infantry squad to kill any survivors.
Americans are holding North Village, use a SCUD Launcher to wipe out the houses so that the enemy has nowhere to hide.

7 Gates: Use an MLRS blow up enemy bunkers instead of trying to rush it with SLAM or C4.

For balancing, the MLRS or SCUD launcher could have a 1:00 setup time and would have to be reloaded by a supply truck every time it fires a set or SCUD.

SCUDS could have a large radius impact but only 1 missle while MLRS's have 8 missles but the missles do much less damage.

What do you guys think?

Don't know if it has been suggested, but it sounds cool. Only on some maps though.

It's been suggested before and been shot down because there are already too many assests in the game. If the player limit was higher then it would be considered.

I checked and it hasn't, nothing on mobile artillery, scuds, or MLRS

And Kashan is totally devoid of assets? Just put some of these in and not something of else.

This has been suggested before, the maps are really too small (but thats the same for jets I suppose) it would be pretty boring job since you'd just put the turret in the right position and sit there clicking watching your score increase and saying to yourself "yay...my score is going up...zzzz"

MOAR offmap supports plz, more realistic and gives commander things to do.

Same could be said for Tanking and gunning for Attack Choppers. Player controlled arty offers flexible fire support that is available often, the MOAB can't compare.

Artillery has been suggested many times before. It may be implimented in future releases, most likely in the form of mortars.
