Something for the site

I was just thinking, when i came off project reality and came onto the site that i said to myself, this site would be even better if it had a simple shoutbox on the home page of the site so people can just say hi, cya or even discuss random stuff within it it would an awesome tool for the site as i know it is used alot of other different sites

I hope you can take my suggestion into prespective which im sure you will This is not a sugestion for PR but i didnt know where else to put it

there use to be a shout box as part of the forums back around the time of v0.3 and it was a mess with everyone just spamming in it, and ehhh, there wans't many ppl playing back then, it would just be a spam fest now and wouldn't add anything to the site...

that isn't even to talk about how much bandwidth it will churn up for both the client and the server of refreshing every second which will slow the site down loads when you consider how many ppl view this site, main reason why we took it off in the first place.

Not going to happen. Ever. End of story.


We used to have a shoutbox, but it drained server resources and caused site slow downs, especially during peak traffic hours.

While we have upgraded our server, I still cannot justify installing it again. It was PITA to moderate and is simply not worth the hassle.
