What has changed with the ammo box in rifleman kit?

Im just wondering as to the exact change for .8 on what happened with the ammo box being thrown down in .8. I rmbr in .75 the deal was that if u threw a pack down and took too much ammo the pack dissapears so u have to wait till u rearm ur ammo box from the ammo box you dropped. However now, when i drop an ammo box down, im able to maybe, maybe get a clip i think. I cant get a patch from them anymore, unless that was removed. plus the box dissapears in like 5 seconds. Can anybody enlighten me? I really need to get this down so i dont call my rifleman for ammo if its not worth it.

thank u very much for that, i knew i saw this someplace but couldnt find it anywhere. Need to retest the ammo bag theory cuz it seems to fail for me, il retry and if its not as the post says il come back and share what happened.

Ok so after testing it out, i found that the ammunition for the most part on the dropped ammo bag come right back. The bag dissapears in like 2-3 seconds, but the only downdraft is that i do not rearm a patch. Is that a feature?

you don't get dressings anymore. The devs like it when you bleed I used to love getting my dressings and ammo, from my own ammo bag, so realistic.

that explains it all. Damn... im prone to dying more often this way, lol. This ususally sux when sniping far far away from any supplies. Il leave my ammo guy out of it next time. Thanx for that.

Bring a specops along instead. Three field dressings give you plenty of time to call for extraction. And he makes a good spotter for air support as well.
