In my constant Insurgent playings and using molotovs to the max, I wondered why is the spread of the molotov fire so big? I mean if you look here:
and here:
Ignore the school haters
But my point is, the fire spread seems really big for what it's counterpart is in real life, and they would be made in similar ways to the insurgents, I think the flame spread should probably be reduced slightly

Also I'm just saying reduce the size a bit, not make it less harmful or anything.

Well, it really depends what is inside the bottle when it comes to burning time and killing efficiency. In the land of oil and refineries, it is not only gas from the gas station what the average insurgent molotov mixer gets into his hands.
I once ignited a fire with 12L petroleom ether (light hydrocarbon) in the form of a 30 m sign. You can not imagine how high the flames went once I threw the ignited match on the ground.. eventhough I ran away while the match was in the air a part of my hair got burned. The initial burn height was about 5-6 m height for the first couple of seconds, and it burned for 60 minutes at a very low scale. Petroleum ether is not that explosive and does not really burn You away, I just meant to point out that the liquid mixture makes the molotov, not the bottle

On Topic:
One of the reasons I think the Molotov is so large Scot is because in RL, it sticks to what it splashes, in PR we can't make that happen, so we give it a larger radius. Though it is funny when you get that lucky throw and drop the Molotov into the back of a CO Truck
