odd consept right? i dont know how easy it is to see in that manner but i imagine when the rifle is cradled in your right shoulder, your vision is obscured somwhat on the right side. its done allready with the tank guns in 0.8, why not with CQB infantry, might be an interesting change.

shoulder firing sight position right
For weapons that are for CQB could players have the sight shifted to the right so that the left side of the screen is more easily viewable?

I'm not really following, are we talking about while using Ironsights? Because if so, then it makes the Ironsight view completely useless as you're not looking down the sight. If you're talking about as normal (unsighted), the weapon is carried at the hip, not shoulder level.

Bullets come out of the centre of the screen. Moving the sights anywhere else would make them useless.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

cant the same modification that was made to the likes of the challanger gun be done to infantry?[R-MOD]Bob_Marley wrote:Bullets come out of the centre of the screen. Moving the sights anywhere else would make them useless.
the suggestion is aimed at how US soldiers are kind of half prepped to fire and walk casually at the same time. mostly aimpoint sights i guess.

The position you're talking about already exists, without the sights up. It's the position you walk around in.
Plus, if you wanted that position with the sights up, you couldn't have the current sighted-in position as well.

You could set fireInCameraDof to 0 and fireInCameraDofLocked to 1 to make the bullets come from the center of the weapon model. Of course this would mean that the sights would only be zeroed in at a particular range.
