Pilot View

Post by mp5punk »

Maybe in .85 or .9 depending on how close .85 is to being released, maybe they could give the pilot of an attack chopper a small screen in the top or middle of screen of a view of what the gunner sees so he too can identify targets and clear the gunner to engage. Maybe it would help for both.

Nice suggestion but no, these kind of things are not possible with the bf2 engine.

What about giving the pilot another camera that is basically a clone of the gunners camera? So when possible you could switch to that camera and check what is being seen.

Shame on you mora, It's perfectly possible. :p Just put the gunners camera on a rotation bundle, then put the pilots camera on the same one. Easy. I think giving the pilots FLIR would be a useful feature in attack choppers as well.

I think he meant having both on screen at once, as in a little side square [Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter]

Just clearing that up[hopefully], I dont really ever pilot or gun ;)

Why? Like you have where you gunner is looking in that bar at the bottom, and you should be talking to your gunner asking what targets etc, so I don't think it's really needed...

well i dont think it is uneeded i think it would just add a bit more realism, i belive that that is how is is in real life, maybe u can use the control button to look down, and instead of seeing just part joystick u can see a little screen there seeing what gunner sees. Kinda like what okita said ya, lol.

Ya having 2 screens into one is not possible.

Well no we can't have multiple cameras available. (Or cameraIDs/GUIindexes or whatever). Again the only option is to just place the choppers camera on a rotaion bundle and add another camera for the pilot. Be hard to fly though...

marc that is exactly what i am talking about, except for 2 screens have on of the gunner view and have one of your chopper layout and have it show when you get hit where you get hit and how bad it is by using green for good yellow for RTB and red for its broken.
