A few questions

Ok, I've been playing for a short while now.. I'm enjoying what I'm playing.. but I have a few questions.
First of all, is there a reference chart or guide to how weapon accuracy is calculated? - The weapons feel more accurate in PR compared to BF, but there have been times where I've hit the deck and got a perfect headshot with say an M24 but it's been a total miss.. where as a simular move in BF would be a kill. Is there an accuracy advantage the longer you are proned or something like that?
Second, are the USMC weapons and MEC/PLA directly balanced? or are they set to relect their true ability? - I know that IRL, your USMC arsenal is extremely light and flexable compared to the heavy AK's and their varients.. but I would have thought that the AK's provide more of a "punch" due to their calibar.
At the moment, to me, The MEC/PLA weapons seem greatly inefficient compared to their USMC counterpart. I'm not saying they should be balanced.. but MEC need some form of compensation in a different area, surely?
It maybe the case however, that I am not adjusting my play from BF2 fully yet... and playing like an idiot
. I'd just be interested on to hear the thoughts behind the setup
