Server suggestion, Server ADMINS PLEASE READ!!

Why do more servers not run BattleRecorder?? Only server I know of with it is Tactics & Teamwork. But why do others not have it? Its so much fun going back and watching all your fire fights happen and having complete control over the camera etc, and then watching other things that ere going on in the round. And a great tool for tactics etc.

Please servers start running BattleRecorder!!!!!!!!!! It does not effect the servers. I cant tell a difference when playing on Tactics & Teamwork server. So it shouldn't effect others.

Why not everyone? Extra bandwidth ($) and server load/lag -would be my guess.
It is a great tool for sure.

maybe we don't make the link obvious enough on our site though, will discuss with clan

but remember some clans, like ours actually, run several games off the same hardware, addming BR to the load might actually affect other games we play.

The thing that ANNOYS me is when a server says it has BR enabled, but the bookmark doesnt work..or they simply dont. Set your servers up right!

yeah I noticed the ones that do have it, they dont go into your battlerecorder section, you have to manually find them IF the server hosts them on there website.

I think lots of servers use it but without setting demo-index, so only admins with ftp/other type of access could watch the demos
(for example my server - no index but all demos recorded, its a thech problem, no chance to have web-server on this box)

ABA have BR running but we do not have the FTP space to host the files. A BR file isn't small and a lot of memory is quickly used up. We can post the files after matches etc upon request.

as far as i know, -=TB=- uses battlerecorder, too

yeah, it seems like a lot more servers than i thought have it, they just dont file them into the demo index.

All our servers have it and our pings are still nice

Just a reminder that there is an option (Internet Filters) to filter out the servers with BR turned on.There is also a quality setting on the server side (1-10) 1 (default) would be the lowest quality/space.
