Gents, for anyone who can give an indepth guide as to setting up a private PRSP COOP server and having friends join it, I'd be very happy to use it.
I'm a bit of a nub with Hamatchi, having only used it for silent hunter 4 a few years ago...

Re: Hamatchi
Would it have to be PRSP? I know it simple with PRMP. You just set a server name and password if your the host, and then anyone wanting to join enters the server name and password into hamachi and then cut and pastes the IP of the host into the server box in PR.
If you want to test your connection, Ive just opened mine :
server name : wuzhai
password : wuzhai
(Ill leave it open for an hour or so)

Re: Hamatchi
i believe its spelled "Hamachi" not "Hamatchi"
I think you create a hamachi network, let another guy with hamachi join it.
then create a local SP server and then make the other person copy the IP from the hamachi network and past it into the "join server with Ip box", dont know what its called

Re: Hamatchi
Quite simple really.
Download and install Hamachi. Start it up and go to the bottom right corner, there's a symbol shaped a bit like a triangle, click on that and create network. Give it a name and a password. Pass this around to others so they can join the network.
Let your friend/s know the network name and password and ensure Hamachi is running before you start PR.
I suggest whoever is hosting lets others know on their status and others just copy their address. Once in game use the join IP function and ctrl V the host address in. Port is default 0 (zero). Bob's your aunt Fannies live in lover.
Hope this helps.

Re: Hamachi and PRSP
cheers for the offers and advice guys, think I got it sorted. The guy only has up to map pack1 and patch installed, and were getting an errorabout him having an older map version, so he's grabbing mp2 over the next day or so.
XXLpeanuts, I'd happily jump on just to have a blast, but my baby son's in bed sleeping now, so VOIP/Voice comms is out of the question. Thanks for the offer though, will happily take you up on adding you to xfire and rearranging.

Pop on TS or something if you have any problems with it.

If you go in and open the ports necessary for BF2 on your router you can go without Hamachi.
