PR is fun to me again....

Post by SiN|ScarFace »

...because I can hit what I'm shooting at with accuracy.

Went 34-4 last night on Muttrah with my m16. Thank you for unnerfing the weapons, I once again have to force myself to stop playing and go to bed.

.85 is the shiznit.

Yeah it's way better now same here I used to make huge scores on .5 .6 even .7 then .8 came out and I would go like 2-10 but now I'm back to normal thank you guys.

Its not about the scores for me, but now there is much less complete randomness involved.

Before it was like "why use a gun, when I can just use something else to greater effect?".

I can never get rid of my inner rambo, but with .85 there is a balance. I enjoy squad action but now I can actually shoot people and hold a position.

That same game last night we were able to defend our position in a building the entire time we were in it. Repelled numerous infantry attacks, and I was able to pop up, shoot, kill, move and repeat. It was great fun.

I agree with Alex! You can fire and know that if you've been still for a couple of seconds and you're target isn't 5 miles away you will get him - unlike in 0.8...

And the 'just use something else' comment is also true - as Rifleman AT, I used to get my rocket launcher out before my rifle! :P

Seriously, great job DEVs. :)

I want .8 deviation back because before I could run up to an enemy shooting at me and knife him without him hitting me once.

Jk. ;)

It was awesome.

...So Fuzz, is that a rhetorical question?

I'm glad everyone is liking the new deviation system. I spent countless hours learning exactly how BF2 deviation worked and even more hours gathering military/gaming advice on what we, the PR team, wanted the deviation to be like.

I have yet to get proper feedback on it from the Military Advisers I used, but it's good to see that the majority of the community is pleased with it.

Well after I played 30 mins 0.85 firing rifles so reminded me my army times.

My opinion is that the deviation system is very good. By that I mean it has the feeling that I have to aim for a moment after I draw my gun and then I get my accurate shot.

And now you can have QC combats too with bursts.

i love it. i played about 2 hours max of .80 now i have been playing every night at leat 2-3 hours. i love it, love it, love it, love it.
i had a round on korangal vally and i was an insergant my squad kicked USA but all of us with at least a 7 to 1 KD it was awsome fun. Top squad of the game.

as for the deviation it is the bomb. just enough to make you slow up and sight up but not to much so that you completely miss after 10 seconds of waiting. YOU ROCK JAYMZ

Love the new deviation system BUT -40 recoil in iron site is to much -20 is more real / fair just throwing it out there AK fully auto less recoil then a L85 scope ouch.

But everything less = god

Yeah, I agree, it's just disheartening to play for a couple hours and only get about 2 kills.
