Is their any posible way to make distant or close up sounds echo into the distance? This would realy help to make it real.

the BF2 sound engine really doesnt support this. It would require 1 hell of a CPU and a sound card and probably a physics card to process it if it could....

well im thinkin maybe it could be done with sound recordings that have significant ehcos in them. could this posibly work?

well that would be the simplest way to do it, but then it wouldnt sound very good in most situations and i very much dout the BF2 sound engine will suport it but im not exspert in that departmant.

I don't remember it.... But there is lots and lots of things BF1942 could do, that BF2 cant even thou its meant to be a "superior engine"

Wasn't a "tier" sound system suggested earlier. Where basically at certain ranges the sound of the weapon/explosion would simply change.

That would be quite a step forward!

Echoing sound would be cool.
Nice to meet you Agent Johnson... So there is another Johnson around! Woot!
Is it your real name?

If you could tier the sound could you also do that with VOIP/commo rose sounds?
There is nothing worse than someone on the other side of the map saying "enemy spotted" - as if I give a flying frag.

not realy the true echo that it should though; from a distance it should sound a bit diferent than it does when close up

Its not a ture echo as such. Its a pre recoared echo that would still echo if you got it into a 1cm cube....

the 50cal sounds worse with the echo than without IMO
