Insurgents start with full-auto

I know the rationale for the conventional armies starting with weapons set to semi; but the insurgents are poorly (un?) trained people, some are practically civvies, some are crazy zealots. It just strikes me as more in keeping with the faction that they'd all be going full auto bullet-frenzy from the get go...

you really think that INS who are fighting for years are so dumb that they cant switch to semi? or trained people use only single-shot??
better give all factions, who has full-auto mode, auto at start, because when you're on auto you still can shoot only 1 bullet, when on semi- cant shoot auto
this will make sense when you're defending rally\FB, sometimes you spawn at enemy face, if he is on auto-you're dead

The reason it defaults to semi is because for conventional armies, that is the standard RoE procedure, so the argument goes. The INS are not a conventional army, they follow no rules of engagement as such, and therefore it makes sense for them to start full-auto. It's not a question of being dumb.

It's down to a question of "realism", supposedly.

I can honestly say i press 3 every time i spawn as insurgent with an automatic weapon. It is a pain in the ***. I support this change.

Maybe make this a poll? 'Do you mostly use automatic fire as insurgent?'

You could say that about switching the default fire mode to semi in the first place... If they think it was worth changing to reflect conventional armies; now they've added unconventional armies it's worth changing back for them.

It's not an "issue"; it's a suggestion. I didn't think weapons defaulting to "full auto" in vanilla was "an issue", but it still got changed...

This suggestion is actually realistic since AK-47s/74s/su switch from safe to full auto to semi. The weapon itself switches from safe to full auto, so it would make sense that it would be full auto when brought up at first. I believe the PPsH and Skorpion pistol are the same, though not as sure about that.
