Free look in aircrafts
NOT MY VIDEO!!
If the video doesnt work , here is the URL
YouTube - Project Reality trackIR test
This topic could become a suggestion, but for now i just wonder what you guys think about implement freelook (without having to hold control) inside helicopters and planes. I dont use the mouse to fly in PR, personaly i prefer the keyboard or a joystick wich makes my mouse free to look around, but currently i have to hold the control key in order to look around what makes me lose the full control of the aircraft. Implementing this feature would cause the players that use mouse to fly, the non possibility of using it anymore but also would bring much more reality to the game.
E: to get the videos to work in future remove this part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

Yeah i know, but since TrackIR works like a mouse in "BF2", it would be the same thing but with a mouse.Priby wrote:Hes using "motion sensors".

some people fly with the mouse though.

Is it possible to make an option in the controls menu so that people who use mouse to fly wouldnt be affected?[R-DEV]Hitperson wrote:some people fly with the mouse though.

Love the idea, I personally fly with a mouse and do pretty well. If you were to free look you have to understand a player doesnt always have a joystick. So for example do; a key both can get to.
Tommy sorry but it sounds you want PR and TIR to have a baby and call it something new.

Re: Free look in aircrafts
Being a joystick only user this would be perfect.
If you want to properly fly, you use a joystick.

Re: Free look in aircrafts
No, the video posted is using a mod that will allow you to free-look with TrackIR while still being able to control the aircraft, and keep the HUD. What you are talking about is running TrackIR in mouse emulation mode and still having to press CTRL to be able to look around, meanwhile losing your ability to pilot the aircraft.Comptons wrote:Yeah i know, but since TrackIR works like a mouse in "BF2", it would be the same thing but with a mouse.
