All Insurgent Arrests - Same Increased Spawntime as Civvy

Greets,

If *ANY* Insurgent is arrested (not just the civilian), use the same game logic as a civvy arrest:

1. Notify the Player they have been ARRESTED. (Same as collaborator class)

2. Increase spawntime +30 sec (Same as collaborator class)

3. Maintain +7 IP for BluFor (same as it is now)

4. Notify the player that they have given 7 IP to the opposing force. (new)

Oh dear god no!

Insurgents are more easily arrested than regular armies are knifed. Why? Because the insurgent tactics demand that you bait the enemy as close as possible before engaging, to the point that arresting is much easier. And no matter how much you'll not want to get arrested, it'll still happen, and you'll end up with a 260 second respawn, as I did. That's over 4 minutes.

All you'll accomplish is sitting the team out for a long, long time.

I'm sorry if I sound cruel or ticked, I really don't have anything against you. It's just that if you want to use the excuse that "it'll encourage people not to get killed/knifed, then give em more respawn", it shouldn't only apply to Insurgents. If we are to use that theorie, then the Coalition should get respawns of 5 minutes when knifed, or 3 minutes when just shot, because they caused their team to lose a ticket.

Then axe the +30 sec.

Then it reduces to simply notifying the player that you indeed were arrested; becomes a display-only change. No game-logic changes with that.

i.e. No change to how it works now then; other than to display "You Were Arrested"

if the MAs say its realistic, I think the suggestion is detailed and well put.

First, I want to say that Juniper is one of my favorite players.

Second, I support this idea.. Though.. I'd rather have collaborators not be arrestable.. Or just implementation of SolidKnight's suggestion.

Even tho this might be very realistic and logical for bot sides to have longer respawn times if knifed (I'd apply this for every conventional armies too, if you got knifed you deserve it IMO), I must disagree because of the gameplay effects it will have.
Not only will it encourage knifing as much as possible, but it'll also make the job even harder for insurgents ; And believe me, even if the Ins team is well coord, a well coord US/GB team will steamroll them, no matter what. This won't help IMO, unless Insurgents gain more firepower, then it'd be fair.

No. Insurgent side isn't the favored one anymore, no need to make it worse. What they could do is to remove getting intel from shooting insurgents, because the dead don't tell stories. Could have a possitive effect to teamplay.

I agree to this. I have NEVER seen anyone get arrested. Lets face it, insurgents will die more than the Coalition. Maybe even go as far to say that insurgents have a slightly smaller respawn time.
