Just a new player doubt

Post by Scyth3 »

First off, im a just started pr gamer (about 3 weeks) and noticed something and I didn't know if it was a bug or just designed that way.

I've noticed that some messages using the commo rose did not appear as text messages but just as voice, like follow me, contact and some of that kind. So I'd like to know if this is just me or it was meant to be that way. This gives some kind of advantage to Us marines as it is a lot easier to comunicate with the squad as opposed to any kind of insurgents (since i only speak english and spanish)

I currently don't have Voip since I broke my mic accidentaly :o ops:, I should be getting one tomorrow but meanwhile its just difficult to communicate with my squad.

Now some offtopic questions.
Is there any good tactical/teamwork oriented clan out there?
There a lot of clans out there but I would like one that is active, mature, use Voip heavily and have no problems with newcomers, if anyone knows one please post it here.

and last is the wiki down or something? I've read the manual but i felt i needed a bit more info.

Btw, can't believe i missed this mod and its tactical oriented player base (which there few out there), so many years playing bf2 and other team oriented multiplayer games without this one, I feel a bit stupid about missing it. My cogratulations to the dev team for their hard work.

EDIT: sorry for the bad grammar

They are suppose to be like that. Try using squad chat for communication without VOIP.

Its best if you get yourself acquainted with the game first.

3 weeks is alot of time but not as much as you need to impress your clan mates.

Usually you will get the jist for clans when you play with them on a server, ofcourse u identify them by their tags.

If you like them, their attitude, and their squad play, then you ask if you can become a member.

Too many players asked the same question as you, and people threw at them a bunch of clans that say they do this and do that, then the people notice that it isnt true, the people there are not as fun as others, etc and so forth. Kind of false advertisement.

So i advise you to just play right now the way you are, and when you find a bunch of awesome cool people you can ask them about the clan.

Scyth3,
the very best way to get to know the game - is to play it a while. A long while.

Check out if you can find some training servers which gives you a chance to learn the game's weapons and its vehicles. Project Reality is a huge different from "vanilla" and the training servers are a nice way to learn more. Take your time!
Also try out the Project Reality Single Player
It is not as gaming live, but at least you can do your mistakes without being trashed by other players. ;)

Concerning the clan stuff, it sounds pretty cool to be in a clan, but I can promise you that PR clan-players are skilled and their experience from the game is good. No offence!

Good luck with the game,
Magrioteli

You can also change settings so that all voices are English, i feel this is a bad thing as you cannot hear it if a enemy nearby speaks, but it might help you.

Thanks to everyone who answered here, maybe i'll wait some time before joining a clan.
I've been in clans before and i enjoy being with teamwork oriented players but I guess I need more experience in it.
