Hi OriginalSnoozer,
Thanks for dropping in
Just to keep you up to date, we are extremely busy at present with finalising the PRMM 0.3 release, which will be released very soon! In the immediate run up to the release, and post-release, there will no doubt be more regular news updates on the homepage.
Rest assured, we will take your point on board, but we would rather be concentrating on getting a physical build to the community rather than double the release time by spending half our time telling everyone how wonderful it is. Seeing is believing

We appreciate all your hard work on PRMM guys, but I understand the original posters comments too.
If the release is very soon, do you know when we will see the feature list, I remember reading that you'd post this a few days before release. Dying to know what we can expect from 0.3. Anything? Please? I'd be happy to paypal you a small bribe...............

Don't get me wrong, I play PRMM almost every night (GMT+1) if there is enough players on a low-ping server and I really appreciate the work you guys are doing.
I'm a daily visitor to the forums, but I'm guessing first-time visitors are not.
If the news are not updated, it does not matter if the forums are active.

Yeah, we don't need a full feature list, but it'd be nice to get a tiny taste of new features that are appearing, even if it's just a single WIP. Not only that but they'l get shown on totalbf2, and that site has hundreds of visitors a day, putting a report up weekly will get everyone to see the articles and get to know what PR is really about (trust me, there are tons of people on the forum constantly requesting realistic features from vBF2, if only they knew PR existed..).

I agree. Posting on TotalBF2.com will absolutely attract more players. But how to attract more players are offtopic and is discussed elsewhere.

when will people learn that BF2 is not quake....OriginalSnoozer wrote:Don't get me wrong, I play PRMM almost every night (GMT+1) if there is enough players on a low-ping server and I really appreciate the work you guys are doing.
Ping hardly effects gameplay in BF2. Only when you go over 300ping is when you can start to feel the lag.
The net code in BF2 is one of its best features, its exstramly diffrent from the old fasiond type games like quake where ping made a huge impression on lag.....
If you are getting a high pink on a server near you its ither the servers fault from its bandwidth being overloaded (unlickly if the server admins know what they are doing) or its more than likley on your end with some type of download going on.

We can start another thread discussing the UDP protocol's advantage over TCP, optimal packetsizes-/windows and so on if you like'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino']Ping hardly effects gameplay in BF2. Only when you go over 300ping is when you can start to feel the lag..
I play on Gloryhoundz even though I have ~200 ms in ping and if you adjust your gameplay, it's not a problem really. I said "low-ping" because a <100 ms server is a better choice than a 300ms server. Caramba, sorry just went offtopic myself.
