Marksman/Sniper kits
hi, im new to the forums, but i thought i would put my 2 cents in.
the marksman kits should be done away with, and replaced by the sniper kit (the current one), and call it scout sniper, and to replace the current sniper kit, there should be a much better rifle, still call it sniper, but use a much more accurate, heavier cal, better sniper rifle like the 50 cal or the M-200, and this kit should hav a ghillie suit. the scout sniper should keep the same equipments but with that thermos gernade thingy, and fewer mags. (4 maybe). the new sniper rifle kit should be much easier to shoot, plus should hav a deployed mode to make more accurate. with the new sniper kit, hav maybe only 1 or 2, and the scout sniper no more than 3. anyway, thats my 2 cents, tell me what i think. ooo and try and beat my best shot, 1103m with an m40a1

Re: Marksman/Sniper kits
That would be overkill. The sniper is already a one-shot kill weapon, or at LEAST putting them into near-instant black-and-white state.
Also, sadly, most of the PR maps have a "Fog of war" so that people don't sit on a hill and can see most of the map.
I like how it is right now, the marksman provides accurate, medium-long range fire for the squad. Having such a powerful weapon (The current sniper rifle) readily available would promote more people trying to get uber-1337 killz instead of supporting a squad. The sniper rifle (Current) is extremely powerful at long range already if used properly. Squads work more close-medium range, IE looking for caches in insurgency, clearing buildings in AAS, etc.

Welcome to the forums.
Marksmen ingame are realistic and wont change as they are to provide long range support for the squad.
The sniper ingame is also realistic, .50 cal snipers would not be used in a realistic way and they were already put into the mod and removed.

Deployed mode has been suggested already.
I doubt that we will see the Ghille again. They represent more Special Forces, rather than a Company sniper.

-The ghillie suit doesn't render over distance(think it's 50m or something) so it's pretty pointless. Just acts as a tard-magnet as well.Jarrad wrote:well, i think the ghille suit should come back at least

The sniper is easy to shoot, try playing around with it in training mode till you figure it out, It's a 1 hit kill weapon already so a higher caliber is unneeded and on top of that the 50.cal has been removed from the game along time ago and doesn't seem to be making a comeback any time soon.

He is probably talking about the RKG anti armor grenade that the insurgent/taliban have.GKaiserman wrote:im sorry, what?

Re: Marksman/Sniper kits
Welcome to the forums. .50 caliber sniper rifles have already been suggested to death and even been in game at one point. They basically became a de facto objective for every player in the game and were taken out.Jarrad wrote:hi, im new to the forums, but i thought i would put my 2 cents in.

Please use the search function and Already Suggested Suggestions forum in the future and post anything you have to say about the same subject in an existing, unlocked thread. Also, I recommend doing more research on anything you would like to suggest before doing either of the above.
Scout-Sniper is a term/title used only only the US Marine Corps and units patterned after it (for example, the Philippines Marines), whereas "sniper" is more generic. Not every sniper is issued a .50 caliber rifle, and it is certainly not something issued all the time; it's just another tool in the box for their job that is drawn from the arms room as mission tasks and circumstances dictate.
I am locking this thread because it is a re-suggestion.
