A "newbie" server?
I was thinking, after the thread about a Veteran's server, perhaps a "noobie" server could be made. A place where R-PUBs and R-DEVs will hang around and anyone new to the game can play in a relaxed environment and get to grips with it.
One way of doing it is to have a new icon on the desktop, that will open up BF2 and connect you to the server, or maybe (i doubt this is possible) change the EA adverts when you open up the game.
Any comments?

Actually I have been thinking about something lately. Wouldnt it be great to have a Project Reality Server Association. PRSA would be a grouping of server admins who could all work together to catch Hackers like the one that was busted on Ziip. The banlists could be shared. A recommendation or standard could be set for Pr servers. Of course each one could still have there own slight differences. Then all these servers could have a general forum board that all the info could be kept on about each server.
Just an idea let me know what you think. those familiar with AA remember the AASA.

Sounds good! Nice way of welcoming people to the game!'[R-PUB wrote:Fullforce']I was thinking, after the thread about a Veteran's server, perhaps a "noobie" server could be made. (Also, at least in that server there will be a chance I don't get pwned straight away!)
*Topic title changed a bit.

as for a newbie server, it would be empty most of the time and new ppl would more than likly just join a empty server.

DEDMON that's a very good idea. Posted in the Dev forums to see the reaction

Man, I hope that was not meant in a derrogatory way. We at WPN are new to PRMM and have taken a chance by running PRMM ONLY on our server. I would hate to think that our efforts were being looked down upon.SiN|ScarFace wrote:Whats so hard that requires a noob server? THe WPN server might as well have that title already.
There still are not enough PR players.

If you are refering to the spawn time, I noted that in my other post in the General Discussion Forum thanking everyone that played on the Server last night. The admin present last night was having trouble re-setting the spawn time back to the normal PRMM wait times. It was changed for a small group by another admin and did not get re-set after the session.SiN|ScarFace wrote:Well IMO your server setup needs changing.
